The Overhead cabinet is the utility for storing the regular items that are used frequently. The items like Crockery and glass utensils can best be kept in Overheads with a glass window shutter to give it a decorative look. The Overhead is given at a height convenient for the housewife to access. The carcass of the Overhead is generally made in wooden material, but for kitchen the woodfree material is preferred. Following points must be kept in mind while designing the overhead cabinets: 

•  The position of the overhead should be such that the person does not bang his head against the cabinet while moving in the circulation space. 
• The open edge of the end cabinets as far as possible should be rounded off so as to avoid serious injuries in case of accidents. 
•  A proper system should be made for effectively utilizing the L Corner of the cabinet.
